You might be wondering what makes RyseUP Rehab different from all of the other fitness companies out there. Why will this program work for you, even if you have tried so many other things? That is what I thought when I started with RyseUP Rehab as well. I tried physical therapy, yoga, pilates, steroid injections, nerve ablations, and so on. I tried all of those things for months. Sure, I saw results from those treatments and exercises as well, but only after a long period of time, and with results that did not last. My chronic pain from my car accident continued.
The exercise program offered by RyseUP Rehab is created to give you quality results in a shorter time frame. This is done with an approach called Static Incline Training Exercise, or SITx. SITx is the foundational approach to everything we do. It combines a variety of components that revolutionize the way we treat pain, injuries, and strengthen and exercise the body. The focus of SITx is to rehabilitate the body by strengthening the muscles in an efficient way. This approach is unique to RyseUP rehab. Essentially, the approach features exercises that take no longer than 3 minutes and allow for you to load your muscles bilaterally, intentionally and specifically to lead to muscle failure.
SITx also utilizes inroading, breathing exercises, along with a one on one fitness instructor that exists solely to empower you and keep you on track during a session. SITx also ensures that you have minimal risk for further injury.

1. Full-Body Strengthening
SITx is made up of bilateral exercises that strengthen the body evenly, and work each muscle group. The sessions can be tailored to focus on specific areas of the body to address injuries, but the exercises build up muscle in all areas of the body. As is implied by the “Static” aspect of the exercises, you will not be completing repetitions during your sessions.
Rather, you will be applying gradual force through pushing or pulling motions until your muscles reach failure. This controlled compression increases bone density and strengthens the skeletal muscles, which are key in increasing stability in the muscles, tendons, and joints.
This is the same foundation we use to help athletes and individuals who want to increase their fitness levels as well.
2. Chronic Pain Relief
Chronic pain relief is achieved as you strengthen your muscles. Unevenness in muscles is corrected because of the bilateral nature of SITx. This will decrease pain caused by muscle weakness and when muscles are contracted, they will naturally relax when they are released.
Each session is also focused on strengthening your whole body. As we strengthen the body, we also address the areas where you might experience stiffness, pain, decreased range of motion and more.
3. Prevention of Future Injuries
SITx is like insurance for your body. The exercises are performed in a controlled atmosphere where a Fitness Instructor will ensure that your joints and body are aligned. This will help you to avoid injury during your sessions, but also stabilize your joints as you work the muscles according to natural muscle and joint function. This will reduce the likelihood of future injury.
As long as you follow the guidelines and do not participate in outroading behaviors there is not any risk for injury. Outroading behaviors are anything that unloads the muscle during the exercise, and should be avoided as they can lead to injury and exercise induced headaches. These include grimacing, gritting your teeth, excessive gripping, jerking motions, etc.
4. No additional care or exercises necessary, not even band work.
Muscle growth happens as you push your muscles to failure. SITx allows for your muscles to reach failure in 3 minutes or less, which is faster and more effective than any other type of workout. This is achieved through a concept called inroading. Inroading is your depth of momentary muscular failure (mmf). Inroading occurs as you apply a meaningful load to a muscle. All of your force is focused on this muscle, and if done correctly, inroading can increase your potential for muscle exhaustion according to muscle and joint function.
This increase in potential is what allows you to work your muscles more intensely without increasing the time you spend working out. You could burn up to 400 calories in 30 minutes. That means, during your session, which may last from 30 to 45 minutes, you should get all the treatment you need in order to recover. Any additional treatment, such as massage, stretching, band work, or additional exercises done at home, are optional, because your body will naturally recover.
